A Family Tradition...

#
Welcome to the internet site for McDonald Farm, located in Sale Creek, Tennessee. Nestled at the base of Walden's ridge in northern Hamilton County, the farm has been in the McDonald family for over eight generations, and holds a special place in the hearts of all McDonald family members who have spent time there.  As a working farm, nearly 700 acres are used to cultivate row crops, hay and cattle.  Among the variety of products offered include Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Straw, Grass hay and Angus beef cattle.

It was James and Kitty McDonald who in 1821 were first to settle in the beautiful area at the foot of Walden’s ridge now known as McDonald Farm. From that point forward, the McDonald farm has been continuously owned and operated by members of the McDonald family. The farm has also seen many changes over the years, from James McDonalds small tract on Sale creek, to a diverse operation now comprising nearly 1700 acres. The one constant however, has been the commitment by all the McDonald family members to see that the farm continues to provide not only the best produce, but also rich traditions for future generations.

Working with the McDonald family to manage the farm is Brant Crowder. Brant is currently the farm manager and brings with him extensive experience in overseeing daily operations. As a member of the Tennessee Farm Bureau, and the Tennessee Cattleman’s Association, Brant consistently ensures that all the farms products meet the highest standards. Brant, with his wife Meredith, and two children, Mikayla and Bailey currently make the farm their home.
